Homemade pesto

Instead of getting a jar of the preservative filled stuff, why not make your own pesto at home?!

4 cups fresh basil leaves
½ cup raw pine nuts
1 large clove of garlic
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1. Toast the pine nuts by heating in a pan over a medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and simply process until smooth – done!
